Behind prison walls, remarkable artistic abilities continue to emerge. Whether through folded paper, stitched yarn, or lifelike drawings, these AIC artists demonstrate that creativity, perseverance, and purpose can flourish in even the most unexpected places.
We just received some items that beg your attention. Please take two minutes as we share what the AIC artists want to show you.
At first glance you might say, “Oh cute” or “that’s great art” but also think of the ripple effect as your actions (purchase it!) support the students of Otino Waa Children’s Village, Uganda. Consider the purpose within the AIC artist and the hope for the Otino Waa kids. Absolutely a win – win – win.
Folded Wonders
With nothing more than ordinary paper, (usually from the trash) inmate artists create extraordinary works of art. Through patience, precision, and imagination, they fold intricate birds, flowers, animals, and geometric designs that demonstrate remarkable creativity and disciplined craftsmanship. You should see the smiles on their faces as they present these to us. Priceless.

Stitched Hope
Using simple yarn and a crochet hook, our female artists create beautiful blankets, hats, stuffed animals, and decorative pieces that reflect perseverance and skill. Every stitch tells a story of dedication, proving that creativity can flourish even in the most unlikely places. Sometimes these items end up in rural Uganda. In this case they should find a home with YOU.

Living Lines
From majestic wildlife to beloved pets, inmate artists capture the beauty and personality of animals with impressive realism and expression. Their drawings reveal a keen eye for detail, a deep appreciation for nature, and artistic abilities that inspire admiration and hope. The original drawing was graphite on paper. Scott and Kim Holbert from S. Carolina, very creative support partners, created the wood products from the digital files of the art. Need a gift for someone?
