This three-dimensional piece portrays a group of cowboys moving together behind a single leader, all rendered in subtle gray tones that emphasize unity, purpose, and direction rather than individual identity. Throughout most of my life, I have been called to lead others—whether through ministry, service, or simply encouraging people to move toward growth and hope. I am currently the leader of the Visions of Hope art group at Warner Creek Correctional. That experience has shaped not only who I am but also how I see the world.
As I created this artwork, I found myself reflecting on the privilege and responsibility of leadership. A true leader doesn’t simply stand in front; a leader inspires others to keep moving forward, even when the path is uncertain. That has been one of the greatest blessings of my life—to help others discover their potential, grow in character, and pursue a purpose greater than themselves. In this case it is the support of the students at Otino Waa Children’s Village, Uganda.
This piece also represents a personal artistic journey. I challenged myself by experimenting with three-dimensional techniques and composition, stepping outside my comfort zone to create something that communicates both movement and meaning. The process reminded me that growth, whether in leadership or in art, always requires a willingness to try something new.
It is with genuine excitement and gratitude that I share this work with you. My hope is that, beyond seeing a line of cowboys, you will sense the deeper story of influence, perseverance, and the quiet strength that comes from leading others with humility and purpose that God has placed in my life.
