by AIC Artist Jeremy Burgert
“I felt inspired to create this piece after a dream. I saw this image and was told to draw it for Visions of Hope. It is my prayer that all who look upon it will feel God’s love and believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins and was raised from the dead for their salvation. My favorite part of this was using a mirror to draw my left hand and then flipping the image to create both hands – the hands of Christ. I felt deeply connected to the Heavenly Father during the creation of this piece.”
Comment by Dale Russell: Many times we receive stories from our AIC artist about how or why they create images. The insight they provide is invaluable, as we see so much deeper into who they are and why they use art to express themselves. Artist Jeremy is known as the “bilnd artist” as he has macular degeneration. It is unknown how much longer he will be able to produce art, but for now, his talents are astounding.
The first AIC artist stepped up in 2009 and since then the gifts, talents and stories of changed lives grow bigger every year! Would you like to be part of these stories? Visions of Hope provides art supplies to the various art groups so they can create the quality images you continue to see. Please consider contributing to this project! GO HERE
