Oh my God
Your heart is true
I cried out
My sorrow to you

You heard my Prayer
You lifted my heart
Your loving reach
Will never fall short
——
Shut my mouth
Pure thoughts in my mind
Guard my heart
And put my past behind
——
Bring forth your Word
Heal this broken man
Lift my head Lord
Help me to stand
——
When I walk next to You
I have nothing to fear
For Jesus is my Savior
I move over – You steer
——
I drove my own life
Living by my code
But doing things my way
Drove me straight off the road
——
Oh my Lord
Your beauty surrounds me
You gave me hope
I am now free

I send you praises
For all you have done

Hi Guy, your poem is profoundly beautiful. I was deeply touched by its simple raw truth for it echoed much of my own life experience on the outside longer than I like to own. Your poem inspires me to paint it. How, I do not know except maybe just color and calligraphy.
