An Important Message To You From Inside Prison

These days of uncertainty might seem hopeless or a constant search for a comfortable “normal.” What happens when YOU change that in very simple ways?

YOU just did that for over 500 inmates who are under a modified lock down during our COVID19 crisis.

We asked you to compose a short message of encouragement to our inmate contacts and you came through with so many heart felt notes! More on that shortly.

Visions of Hope has stepped up our prison communications, including your notes and letters. March and April included one six-page newsletter and two mailings containing your messages. As the lockdown continues, we will send more of these notes of encouragement. We are working on another for the first of May.

That means there’s still time for you to add more notes or create one for the first time!

the response from inmates

In the response from inmate Yohannes below you can see how much this means:

Dale and Sandy,

It is such a blessing to hear from the both of you via mail. Thank for all your support and prayers. It was a blessing to speak by phone today as well!

Please forward the following info to all those who sent us the encouraging messages on the newsletter.

Dear Alaina, Tara, Alex, Christian, JB, M. Rand, JT, Randy D., Rick W., Bev, Sarah, Gloria, V. Greene, Mark & Melissa, Cindi, Marvin W., Richard M. and of course, Dale & Sandy, Peggy, Tina, Cathy and Mrs. Mowery.

May God bless you all for all you do for others. From the smallest acts of kindness to the great heartfelt self-sacrificial work to make this world a better place. What you might deem small and of no consequence, God uses to do His miracles. From the smallest deed of kind words to visiting us here in person or your messages in the mail, makes all the differences to those who don’t know the Lord or are disconnected from His presence. To some, you are the only connection to God that they will ever know. That might be the only gospel they will ever hear.

So please continue, that all may find God through this time of hardship. That the very thing that would seem to destroy, would be new life discoveries and His saving grace. Your kind messages will be read over and over again to help fill a day with joy and encouragement. For those here who cannot see their loved ones, your notes become the missing visitation. That is huge for us on this side of the wall.

I am praying for you as well, that our faith would be exercised in God and we can see His hand moving in all around us. That we would become the reps for God and His kingdom come and His will be done! Amen!!

Love in God,

Yohannes
