Board of directors
Visions of Hope is entirely volunteer-led. Each of our directors is dedicated to providing the utmost in service and care, not only for our donors, partners, and volunteers, but for each of the inmates, orphans, and the God who inspires us in the first place.
It still amazes me how God loves to use those who define themselves as “unqualified”. When we first entered a prison in 2009, we had no idea that God would lead us all to do so much. To bring inmates and orphans together with such a purpose still astounds us. Joy can be found in a prison or under a mango tree in Uganda.
Working with the inmates has been a rewarding process, and the art that we have seen come from the men and women is incredible. The blessing that comes from this unique partnership between inmates and orphans is a beautiful tapestry that only God could have created.

I was drawn to purchase an inmate’s painting on the wall of the hospital where I work. God used it to involve me in this amazing ministry. I have been with Visions of Hope for about eight years and oversee all the new art inventory and processing.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the VOH team, my wife and I have sponsored several of the Otino Waa orphans over the years and saw how God has so wonderfully worked in their lives. We have also seen how VOH ministries reach the incarcerated with the love and hope we have in Jesus. James 1:27 says, “Pure religion in the sight of God is to care for the orphans and widows in their distress, and to share the hope we have in Jesus with the hopeless.” As board members of VOH, we stand in amazement at what our Lord has done and is doing.
I visit the prisons to encourage and engage those that have been gifted with artistic talent. On the board, I facilitate fundraising and bring awareness of Visions of Hope to our community and around the world.
We started sponsoring a child at Otino Waa in 2017 and then visiting the prisons in 2019. We are amazed at how God works in the lives of both sides of the world and feel God called us to be engaged with Visions of Hope.
