An inmate.
An orphan.
A work of art.
At first, these worlds seem impossibly far apart. Yet through Visions of Hope, God is bringing them together in a powerful story of redemption. Activity from inside Oregon prisons becomes a vehicle for hope—supporting Ugandan orphans while giving the incarcerated renewed purpose and dignity. This mission moves forward because of committed people who organize, guide, and champion the work.
God is doing something remarkable through the unlikely connection of Oregon inmates and Ugandan orphans—and it takes faithful volunteers serving behind the scenes to make it possible.
The following positions represent key roles that help transform creativity into life-changing impact.

Art Coordinator (location: Central Oregon)
The Art Coordinator oversees the intake and stewardship of original artwork created by Adults in Custody (AIC) participating in the Visions of Hope program. This role ensures each piece is properly received, cataloged, and prepared for presentation and sale. Responsibilities include organizing incoming artwork, maintaining an accurate inventory, digitizing pieces for archival and promotional use, evaluating and grading individual works, and determining which pieces are selected for framing and display. Through careful management of the art process, the Art Coordinator helps elevate inmate-created art to a level that inspires supporters and generates meaningful support for the mission. Training included.

Event Coordinator (location: anywhere)
The Event Coordinator helps expand the reach of Visions of Hope by identifying and organizing opportunities for the organization to participate in community events, art shows, church gatherings, and other outreach venues. This role researches potential events, coordinates logistics, and works with volunteers and board members to ensure successful participation. Responsibilities include ensuring the Visions of Hope story and artwork are presented in a compelling and organized manner. The Event Coordinator plays a key role in bringing the mission into the community and creating opportunities for awareness, engagement, and support. Prior experience not required.

Board Member (location: anywhere. Zoom meetings)
Board Members provide leadership, wisdom, and active participation in guiding the mission of Visions of Hope. They assist in the ongoing operations of the organization through strategic decision-making, project leadership, and hands-on involvement in ministry activities. Board Members collaborate with fellow leaders to help shape direction, strengthen programs, and support initiatives that connect Oregon inmates with Ugandan orphans. This role includes regular communication, participation in meetings, and a willingness to contribute time, insight, and resources to advance the impact and vision of the organization.
Visions of Hope continues to grow because individuals choose to step forward and serve. If this mission resonates with you, we invite you to consider how your gifts, leadership, and heart for service might help bring hope to lives across the world. No prior board participation required.
