WATCH ME NOW

Watch me Now

Response to COVID in Prison – Poem by AIC Guy E

——————————–

Prison walls can’t hold me,

I have my sword in hand.

God raised the warrior in me,

to take a mighty stand.

Speaking life into others,

when death stalks their lives.

Calling on God’s power,

He takes away the strife.

Surrendering our lives,

to serve our King.

Filling the heart with love,

makes us want to sing.

Healing all around,

testimonies to share.

To those who love the Lord,

He blesses and he cares.

So many times,

He’s called my name.

Through his mercy,

I’m not the same.

So be reassured,

my brothers and sisters in Christ.

God never changes,

nor does His might.

Be bold my brothers and sisters,

be true to your heart.

For God will see you,

from finish to start.

So come to Him,

down on bended knee.

Our glorious father,

will not let you be.

His voice will speak,

mighty and true.

His love will lift you up,

He will see you through.

To see through the pain,

the world brings to me.

COVID-19 tried to take me,

God said call on me.

Relax my son,

watch what I will do.

Where you are concerned,

I’m not yet through.

  1. Thank you, Guy, for your beautiful poem. It was thought-provoking and deeply inspiring. I’m copying it down to place on view as a reminder of God’s daily hand upon my life from moment to moment, sunrise to sunset.

This is so powerful and applicable to all of our lives. A great reminder of our calling wherever we find ourselves. I too am a survivor of Covid and it gives me boldness to speak to the fear in other’s lives because we serve a great God! Thank you Guy for your poem.

  3. Thank you, dear brother, for the beautiful reminder of God’s never ending love and faithfulness to those of us who call Him father! Blessings to you in Jesus’ Name! Mark Brown
